The Church
If the church commanded something – give money, go to war,etc., you did it. If you disobey them they might send you to Hell! They were the law! (10 commandments focus) Chrisitanity spread from Jerusalem, Europe, and Rome. It grew into gigantic religion since then. Your probably wondering, what are its responsibilities? Right here- Church provided: Help for the poor, Education, Entertainment, and most importantly, Salvation.
- Monks are the lowest level of the church.
- Usually their job was to help the poor
- Also copied many books by hand and were important in spreading Christianity in Europe
